Capital Project

  • In November 2017, Hannibal Central School District voters approved a $42 million capital project with zero impact on taxpayers. Through careful fiscal planning, the district was able to propose the project without increasing the tax levy. State aid will pay for 98 percent of the cost, and money set aside in the district’s capital reserve fund will cover the balance.

The project is currently in phase 1, which includes a new bus garage, sitework and roofs. Construction for phase 1 began in June 2019 and is expected to wrap up in the spring of 2020. Please visit this page throughout the project for updates as progress continues.
