HCSD Welcomes New Teachers

The Hannibal Central School District welcomed several new teachers to its staff for the 2026-27 school year, bringing experience and enthusiasm to classrooms across the district.
Before the start of the school year, the new educators participated in orientation sessions designed to help them become familiar with the district and its schools, staff and community. The sessions provided teachers with important tools, resources and information to help them navigate their new roles.
“We wanted to make sure they feel supported, connected and prepared from day one,” said Assistant Superintendent Meredith Furlong. “Our summer orientation gave them the opportunity to learn about our district, ask questions, connect with colleagues and access resources to feel confident as they began their journey with Hannibal. We are thrilled to welcome them to our Warrior community!”
The orientation sessions included information about district expectations, instructional resources, technology, procedures and the many supports available to staff. New teachers also had opportunities to connect with district leaders and colleagues before welcoming students back to school.
