The Hannibal Central School District recently held a National Honor Society induction ceremony celebrating 12 students who have exhibited academic excellence, leadership, character and service.
New inductees into the Sadie Adamy chapter included senior Logan Ames and juniors Madisyn Ames, Andrew Becker, Payton Browngardt, Benjamin Hess, Carina Hurlbut, Kailyn Jones, Kayla Martinez-Munoz, Madison Melita, Kairi Moore, Cecelia Stone, and Emma Walters.
Superintendent Christopher A. Staats addressed the students during the ceremony, commending them for their achievements and the example they set for others.
“I want to begin by saying how incredibly proud we are of you,” said Staats. “You have not only excelled academically — you have shown us what it means to be kind, thoughtful, and engaged members of our school community. Congratulations. We are deeply proud of you, and we can't wait to see the impact you will continue to make.”
The ceremony also featured remarks from Hannibal High School Principal Amy Bird and NHS advisor Ed Barrington, who congratulated the new members on their accomplishments and encouraged them to continue leading with integrity and compassion.
