Fairley Elementary Students Shine at Annual Inventive Minds Competition
Innovative Fairley Elementary students recently showcased their creativity and problem-solving abilities as part of the annual Inventive Minds competition.
The competition tasked students with identifying a problem and developing an invention that would address the issue. Students created prototypes of their inventions and were required to present their inventions to a panel of judges who determined the winner. The winners from the school competition advanced to the regional battle against Red Creek.
Fairley’s standout performers at the regional competition included Emma Wells, who earned second place with her project, "The Pup Brush"; Stella Forsythe, who took third place with "The Art Glove"; and Jace Rockwood, who placed seventh with his project, "The Ultimate Fun Organizer.”
"We are incredibly proud of our students’ achievements and the creativity they brought to this competition," said Fairley Elementary Principal Amy Bird. "Events like Inventive Minds help spark a passion for innovation at a young age, and our students certainly rose to the occasion."
Advisors Kate Babbitt and Bethany Simmons echoed those sentiments and lauded the students for their hard work and innovation. They said they always look forward to seeing the students’ creativity on display.
