Literacy Night provides fun activities for Fairley families
Fairley Elementary students celebrated National Reading Month in March by reading plenty of books and participating in fun literacy activities.
The celebration culminated with a literacy night where students and their families engaged in different activities throughout the school. Students could create their own version of book characters such as Pete the Cat. They made crafts and colored, and even had a visit from the Cat in the Hat.
“Literacy night provides our families with an opportunity to share the love of reading with one another,” said Fairley Elementary Principal Amy Bird. “It’s wonderful to see our families fostering that joy of reading.”
