ASSIGNMENTS

There are three types of work assigned in Room 201.

Class/Homework: Assignments of this type are graded on an individual basis. Evaluation of such assignments is based upon the accuracy of the information, appropriate spelling and sentence structure.

Inquiry Assignments: Students are sometimes asked to demonstrate their knowledge of a concept PRIOR to instruction, to formulate opinions, or simply to make guesses. In such cases, grades are determined on the basis of effort and the extent to which the student has accomplished the assigned task.

Group Assignments: When students are required to work with other students, all students within the group receive the same grade. Group assignments which occur within the context of one-class period are NOT completed by students who are absent on the day of the assignment. (In such cases, the grading formula is adjusted to eliminate the affect of this policy.)

Assignments are listed in reverse order. That is, the most recent assignments are found at the top of the list. Please bear in mind that, with the exception of absences, students are entitled to hand-in assignments within one day of the due date. Assignments late beyond one-school-day may not be accepted.
