You may access the "X Drive" by opening the icon "My Computer"

The policy regarding the "X drive" is to contact the ICS department so that a folder can be setup (with appropriate permissions) for each teacher needing to "share information". It is not intended to replace or become a substitute storage area for each individual's home directory. This policy was implemented to help maintain organization of the common folder, to protect the data placed within each folder from accidental or malicious deletion, and to provide access control so that only the individuals designated by the folder owner will have access and the type of access available.

You do NOT need to backup these files during the school year, this will be done on a nightly rotation. This drive (storage area) will be cleaned out at the end of every school year. It will be your individual responsibility to save your files either by saving to a floppy, CD or your home directory at the end of the school year.
