First-ever districtwide art show draws a crowd: Hundreds of pieces of work, from kindergarten through 12th grade, filled the hallways of Hannibal High School and the gymnasium was transformed into an art gallery, as the school celebrated its first districtwide art show. Students showed a variety of works to their parents, siblings and friends as they strolled from one end of the school to the other. Hannibal students bloom at spring concert: The sounds of spring filled the air, as fifth and sixth grade students at Dennis M. Kenney Middle School delighted a packed auditorium with a variety of choral and instrumental performances.   The concert, under the direction of Jeff Sawyer, included a variety of pieces from the school’s chorus and band, with each performance being introduced by student musicians. DMK students earn honors in third quarter: Dennis M. Kenney Middle School students recently celebrated academic success, perfect attendance and scholastic improvement during a ceremony in the cafeteria. Teachers and administrators were on hand to congratulate students who earned high honor roll, honor roll, perfect attendance or achieved academic growth from the previous quarter. HS Families Invited to Pig Roast: The Hannibal High School Family Engagement Committee will sponsor a pig roast and other activities beginning at 5 p.m. May 17. As part of a family engagement initiative, the committee is offering a free meal ticket to students and parents who update their contact information and create a SchoolTool login. In addition to the food, other activities include a college fair, robotics demonstrations and basket raffle. Art Show Set for May 15: The first-ever districtwide art show is set for 4-7 p.m. May 15 at the high school. Student artwork from every grade level will be on display in the gymnasium throughout the evening.
