Hovercraft Project powers 4th graders Hovercraft Project powers 4th graders: Beyond the academic lessons learned in class, Fairley Elementary School fourth-graders applied necessary life skills in order to successfully construct and test hovercrafts.   Split into teams of 16, the fourth-graders held designated jobs related to preparation, measurements, data analytics and leadership as they worked toward assembling the low-friction vehicles. Fire Department Provides Lesson at Fairley Fire Department Provides Lesson at Fairley: Fairley second-graders recently received a lesson in fire safety, courtesy of the Hannibal Fire Department. Students had an opportunity to examine the firefighters' gear and use hoses to spray water. They also could climb into the fire truck, check out the equipment and try on some of the firefighters' helmets, boots and jackets.    more >>
Cultural fair showcases Fairley third-graders’ work Cultural fair showcases Fairley third-graders’ work: The upstairs at Fairley Elementary School took parents and students on a cross-country journey during the annual cultural fair. Each third-grade class selected a country of interest and studied its customs and traditions. Students learned about geography in Brazil, family crests in Ireland, symbolic dragons in China, language in Spain and weather in Australia. Kindergarten Celebration Kindergarten Celebration: This year our Kindergarten Celebration will be held on Friday, June 1 st at 2:15 in the Fairley gymnasium.
