2018-2019 Classroom Supply Lists
October 5, 2018
It has been such an honor and privilege to get to know you all and work with your children this past month. Thank you all for the warm welcome and reaching out with questions, concerns, and celebrations.
Our month has been busy with newly formed classes getting to know one another and building their classroom communities. Mrs. Griffin and I visited each classroom with representatives of our PBIS committee to present our expectations on the bus, in the hallways, cafeteria, special area rooms, classrooms, and any other learning spaces. We held school-wide assemblies to review our first two character traits for September (Respect) and October (Manners). Each month for the rest of the school year, we will have a school-wide assembly and discuss the following traits:
December : Responsibility
January : Self - control
February : Respect
March : Empathy
April : Honesty
May : Bring your best (Courage, Confidence, Encouragement)
In order for students and staff to get to know me better, I chose a story to read in every classroom. I read in each Kindergarten, first, second, and third grade classroom so far. I look forward to reading in Pre-K, special education classrooms, and fourth grade classrooms next week. We are looking forward to our families coming in for our first annual “All Hallows Read” the week of October 15-19th. Snacks and drinks are available thanks to Home and School. See you all there!
