Rockets
Problem
statement:
Student teams will design and
construct a water rocket made from a soda bottle or bottles, which will
launch one grade “A” large egg into the air at least 25 meters.
The purpose is to keep the egg intact upon returning to earth.
Limitations:
The bottle used to hold the water and to be
pressurized cannot be modified in any way.
The maximum height of the
rocket cannot exceed 1 meter high not counting the recovery system.
No metal of any kind can be
used in the construction of the rocket.
The rockets will only be
launched under teacher supervision and according to safety rules
established
No spray painting of rockets
but acrylic water based paints can be used
The first launch of an untested
water rocket will only use air pressure
